Extension Care Instructions

Weft Extensions

  • Brushing

    • To keep hair tangle-free, brush daily with the Bellami Boar Brush.

    • Gather your hair into a ponytail. Start brushing the ends, working your way up toward the scalp.

    • Brush on top and underneath the weft to help remove the natural shed.

    Washing

    • Brush your hair before washing to remove any knots or tangles.

    • You can section your hair or use multiple ponytails to wash it in parts.

    • Was your hair in lukewarm water, gently massaging a hydrating, sulfate-free shampoo into your scalp in a “z” pattern.

    Conditioning

    • Apply conditioner from mid-length to ends, leave it on for 2-3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

    • NOTE: Conditioner or silicon-based products at or near the attachment points may make wefts slide out.

  • Drying

    • Apply leave-in conditioner, heat protectant, or treatment oil from mid-length to ends to protect your extensions.

    • Before using a blowdryer, towel-dry or air-dry your hair as much as possible.

    • Use cool or warm temperatures when blow-drying near the spine.

    Styling

    • Bellami hair extensions are safe with thermal tools - always use a heat protectant before styling!

    • Set the temperature between 270°F and 450°F, depending on your hair type.

    • Infinity Weft: Avoid direct heat on the spine. Maintain a distance of 1-2” with hot tools.

  • Swimming

    • Avoid chemical-based sunscreens as they can discolor your hair; use mineral-based options instead.

    • Wet your hair with freshwater and apply leave-in conditioner from mid-length to ends. Then, tie it in a loose ponytail or braid.

    • After swimming, rinse with freshwater and reapply the leave-in.

    Sleeping

    • Gently brush your hair and loosely braid it before sleeping.

    • Avoid sleeping with wet hair, as it can tangle at the scalp.

    Coloring

    • Do not color your hair extensions at home. Consult a certified Bellami Stylist for any color services.
