We have officially hit summer! If you’re one of the many who have committed to the big chop this season, here are a few of our favorite styles specifically for us with shorter styles!
Volume Obsessed
As a person with straight hair, I have longed for curly hair with a ton of volume. This style is the perfect way to fake it til you make it. Using a super tiny curling wand, no larger than 1/2 inch, you’re going to meticulously curl each piece making sure to not miss a single strand. After every strand is nice and bouncy, you’re going to pull the curls apart. This is where the volume is really going to let loose. Now you have a full head of bouncing curls almost as natural as they come! We recommend finishing off any look with a workable hairspray to ensure your style will last all day. Our favorite is Aveda’s Air Control.
Everyday Updo
Just because you rock a pixie doesn’t mean you don’t have options when it comes to everyday updos. This one is giving major early 2000’s vibes and so simple to recreate. All you’re going to need to get started are some clear elastics and a topsy tail tool. If you don’t already have one of these hair tools, you have to grab one. They are so versatile and an affordable addition to your routine that will elevate everyday looks.
Twisty Updo
This one is for the curly gals or those who just finished curling with the 1/2 inch curling wand and need to tame it down a bit. All you need to create this look is a few bobby pins and just start twisting. You’ll twist and pin and twist and pin until you get your desired look. What could be more simple than that?
Classic Beachwaves
A classic beach wave is always the right move. We LOVE the T3 curling iron, many of the stylists at Tangerine swear by their products. Our biggest word of advice when creating beach waves, especially with shorter lengths, is to leave your ends out. This will help to maintain length in your style and give it that perfect undone look we’re all looking for.
