Dyson Supersonic™ Hair Dryer; $499

You are not just paying for the Dyson’s sleek design or quiet airflow; you are paying for smart technology that is working to protect your hair every time you turn it on. With it’s light weight design, you will be able to dry you hair quicker as the Dyson Supersonic works faster to dry your hair than some of its predecessors. We get it, not everyone can shell out over $500 for a hairdryer, but if you are concerned with the integrity of your hair or you blow out your hair on a regular basis, consider investing in this resilient hair dryer. If you do the math, it will end up only costing you as little as $1 per use!

The Good:

  • Super fast drying time

  • Three speeds and three heat settings, so you can customize the air flow

  • Quieter than most dryers

  • Less long-term hair damage

The Bad:

  • Although the dryer itself is small and light, the cord is long and bulky, so it’s not ideal for travel

Curling Iron

T3 WHIRL TRIO; $249.00

The coolest part about this tool? Each barrel (tapered, one-inch straight, and one-and-a-half-inch straight) locks on and pops off the central wand with a simple twist and pull. You can achieve three different curl patterns with this one tool! You can also purchase barrels with a clip or other clipless barrels that work with the T3 base. This is basically a build your own curl kit and we are obsessed with it!

The Good:

  • Three barrel sizes; larger one-and-a-half-inch barrel for big bombshell waves, the one-inch barrel for lanky waves with the slightest bend, and the tapered barrel for waves that are looser at the roots and tighter at the ends

  • Gorgeous design; whether you are using it at home or in the salon it will look lovely on your vanity

  • Quick heat up

The Bad (for all curling wands, not just the T3 Whirl Trio):

  • Beware of curling wands, keep your fingers tips away from the barrel when wrapping your hair

Wild Card

Revlon One Step Dryer and Volumizer, $59.99

This is the perfect product if you’re looking for an effortless blowout in the comfort of your own bathroom at an affordable price. This tool is a two-in-one styler that combines the power of a dryer and the volume of a round brush for a quick, easy blowout you can do yourself. I would suggest letting your hair airdry to about 70% before using this product. Comb and separate your hair into sections then run the tool close to the roots, brushing down towards the ends. Its design was created to keep heat damage at a minimum and frizzies and static in check. The nylon pin and tufted bristles do the job of detangling hair while adding a luster and shine.

The Good:

  • Great blowout at home

  • Affordable price

  • Lightweight

The Bad:

  • Bulky by design

  • Shouldn’t be used straight out of the shower; adding time to your daily routine
