Have A Stress-Free Weekend

The weekends go by quickly, so be sure to enjoy your time and try to stay as stress-free as possible. Here are some pointers to help you relax and make the most of your weekend.

Don’t Oversleep

It’s ok to hit snooze a few times or rest in bed for a while after you wake up, but you don’t want to oversleep too long on the weekends. Two days feels short enough and oversleeping limits your time even more, which can make the “Sunday Scaries” creep up quick.

Get Outdoors & Take A Walk

The great outdoors are so good for the soul. Head to your local park or just take a nice stroll around the neighborhood. Breathe in the fresh air and appreciate the beauty of the outdoors. Listen to the birds chirp and focus on the natural noises and views around you. If you want to pair your walk with another activity, head to the local Farmer’s Market. You can leisurely walk around, plus pick up fresh produce for the week while supporting local vendors.

Give Yourself A Mini-Facial

Often times during the business of the work-week, we neglect our skincare routine. Take a moment to pamper yourself and your skin by giving yourself a mini-facial. This can take 10-30 minutes, and will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Start with a deep cleanse, followed by exfoliation, a masque, eye creme and moisturizer. If you want to spend a little extra time on your skin, incorporate a Jade Roller with your moisturizer to increase circulation and lock-in moisture.

Take A Bath

Sometimes the only way to truly unplug and unwind is to take a nice bath. Diffuse your favorite essential oils, play “Spa Music” on Pandora (or something that relaxes you), drop in some Aveda Stress-Fix Composition Oil and Stress-Fix Bath Salts, sit back and just relax.

Get Up Once An Hour

If you want to just ‘Netflix and Chill’, then you should do just that! However, be sure to get up at least once an hour and do something active. Stretch or do a few simple yoga moves, take your dog on a quick walk, make some lunch, water your plants, etc. Just be sure to keep yourself moving a bit throughout the day, or you will end up with sore muscles and tired eyes.

Visit The Spa

An hour at the spa can do wonders for your mind, body and soul. It’s another great way to totally relax without distraction. Book a facial or massage and let the experts at Tangerine Spa pamper you.

Meditate

It can be just 10 minutes, an hour, or even longer - whatever way you choose, meditation can help you tune into yourself and refocus your mind. It can also have great benefits to your mental and physical health. If you are new to meditation, try using an app to help guide you in your journey to finding your zen.
